You have marred my birthday until the day I die,
But for you never a single tear I will cry.

Thank you Mother for being so uncaring,
It’s just a shame with you this day I’m sharing,
I wish that it could be with someone who I love,
Not someone who thought babies were there to shove.

From pillar to post like I was some sort of toy,
Babies are meant to fill their parents with lots of joy,
But oh no not mine, mine were all for themselves,
Didn’t care about my state of mental health.

Birthdays are meant to make you feel happy,
But with you in my mind I always feel crappy,
So dear Mother another year has passed,
I just wish that my bad feeling of you didn’t last.

No wonder on my birthday I felt so blue,

There is such emotion here, I am almost at a loss as to what I should say. As always with your work, the poem is fantastic. But the heart-felt story it tells is very upsetting.

This is really amazing like all your work,
I really enjoyed reading it even though it has such a sad feel.
In time may be these feelings will start to fade,
But you should enjoy it as your day regardless of your mother.

Hi, that is such a sad writing. It's not easy living with mean parents. Mine are also unperfect. But I tell myself that they have good and bad things about them, I write poems about that. Give this some thought, maybe it will help you. It helped me.
