A sorrowful hymn to her deceased lover…
Her world, endless shadows,
Demons from her past,
Insanity close at hand…
Her voice soars high,
She speaks of love and decay,
Beauty and death…
A bittersweet requiem,
Coursing through the ash infested air…
Fatality all around her,
Could she not consider it more than a friend?
All is lost,
And only she,
The beautiful Melodie,
Lives on…
A soul-less corpse, a figment…
Humming an ancient tune,
Amongst a field of marble heads…
The precious Luna sacrificing Her luminosity,
And placing it in her hair…
Mistress of Obscurity, was she,
This morbidly radiant Melodie…
Solemn was her song,
Of past love and life…
Her lovely wings were clipped long ago,
Ripped off by some ungrateful father…
Never would she fly again…
A love was found,
Then, subsequently lost…
An existence of death, and long-lost loved ones…
All alone, so dreadfully alone…
Silently screaming, inwardly dying…
A curse of immortality was cast upon her,
An eternal life of loneliness…
Thoughts of self-destruction have long left her fevered mind,
Only concepts, memories, past recollections,
When life was good, and her world was luminous…
The blind deity had not seen what occurred down below…
The deaf “God” had not heard the blood curdling screams…
Violated, stolen of innocence, beaten down by iron fists…
All neglected…
A victim, still tainted by HIS touch…
Wallowing in a sea of nothingness,
The Melodie slowly dies,
Her song, drifting, still carried upon the winds of Death…
Her heartbeat ceased,
Only silence embracing the world…
The cycle begins again,
The heart lives on,
The eyes flutter to perceive this, her personal Hell…
To exist in a realm where death and sorrow were her only friends…
La Luna, smiling solemnly upon her,
Whispers of hope…
Hope that sits waiting,
Across the vast oceans, beyond everything,
He lingers, for something, or someone, and he doesn’t quite know why…
The cloud of anguish hung low,
And she wept tears of gentle sorrow…
With the little bit of energy she had left,
Melodie sung, for the mystery that awaited her in those distant lands…
Recklessly hoping for her hymn to be heard,
To be cherished, and loved,
By that certain something, or someone,
Dwelling in a far off land…
The song was carried,
Across the oceans, beyond anything and everything,
And reached the enigma…
Stroking the heart and soul with celestial hands…
An unfinished symphony waiting to be completed…
In the darkness of the Night,
Under the sapphire orb that was her Muse,
Eternal beauty and harmonious was she,

The perpetual Mistress of Darkness, that was named Melodie…

A melody that was heard across a vast ocean.
Your words touched my heart and soul. I am deeply honoured to read your poetry for these words are part of your life.
You and these words are worth so very much
Release the old and make way for new beginnings.
Respect and love

Magnificent my friend

Love sweetangelukxxx

I do not pretend to understand this. When taken one by one, the words are beautiful..some things I get..then I get lost. But the vocabulary is wonderful.. it's me..I'm a dullard and I don't get this hi-brow stuff. But look..I'm here trying, and that should count for something..right?

Haunting refrains echo still within the halls and empty rooms of my mind. I hear the voice and am drawn towards doors that have remained locked for ages. Testing latches, seeking ... the voice moves on wafting through the halls ... beckoning, pleading, comanding me to follow .... Melodie fades and returns and fills my dreams ... she leaves again ... she will be back.
