He has been in Iraq for 5 months now and I will not see him for another 7 months. I love him very much and hope to see him again someday. [bodytext] => Crying inside I yearn for you
Never knowing if I'll see you again

The world is hurting and in such pain
You leave to fix the wound

I respect your wishes and support you
But deep inside I hate myself for it

I stay strong for you
And don't let you hear me cry
But inside I am always crying for you

I wrote this for a friend whose fiance is also fighting in the mid-east right now.. I'd like to share it with you.. I loved your poem and my heart goes out to you.

My Heart Is Weeping
We were standing together, side by side,
looking in the mirror.
It was time to say good-bye.
Your eyes were filled with tears,
you held them back.
One of us had to be strong.
My heart was weeping.
To help you,
I choked the tears back in my throat.
That was the last time you went.
Our country calls you once again,
and it’s time to say, good-bye.
No thought for yourself,
although you do think of me.
And that brings the tears
once more into your eyes.
It’s still a month away,
but every night that passes,
ends another day,
and your departure
grows that much closer
and my heart weeps again
as I try to stay strong.

I wrote that for them just before he left to go..
but your poem reminded me of it for some reason. He's coming home and I know yours will too.
