Array ( [sid] => 70732 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Suffering Depression [time] => 2004-11-09 05:52:12 [hometext] => This is differernt in relation to my other poems, but this write was after a little something... and argument let's call it :) But yeah, sometimes I wonder why so much poetry involves suicide.. [bodytext] => Suffering from depression,
What would you know?
Blood running down my fingertips,
Sweat dripping down my forehead,
I press pen onto paper,
Desperately writing my will

The end is not far from now,
Not much longer to go,
I feel light as my paper flies,
And my ink pen dries,

Crawling to the doorstep,
My blood red as rose,
I open a door to my world,
A world of hate and pain,

One last look at the beautiful sunset,
My last touch of the soft sand,
I lay on the beach awaiting my end,
Hoping to be washed away, never to return

Suffering from depression,
What would you know?
Drowning in your arrogance,
I hope this death awakens you.

Author's Note: People who commit suicide usually don't prepare a will ;)

Written very visual and intense, a graphic tale unfolding, awesome use of words to describe what you want the reader to feel, beautifully composed cool poem.

Dragon, your speech is actually inspiring LOL
Jane, I know! *hug* I've been away for quite some time, but now I'm back! =D I might not be able to drop by that often tho...
Btw, have you written any new poems yourself?
Anyway! Thanks everybody for reading and btw, this only took me 2 minutes to write, Jane lol
When you're full of emotion, there's only one way to get it out without wrecking anything... ink and paper ;)

Cheers,

Dear Thorn,
I'm so sorry that you have suffered in this way. Are you just kidding us? This is really very serious. I understand that those who take their own life really have no other choice. In other wards they are so sick, the one instinct that our Creator gave us that is so very strong is to survive. When a person can go against that and take their own life, they are deeply disturbed for sure.
You write very well, I enjoyed reading this.
Warm love
consue

Very good, and very visual. I get extremely clear images of whats happening. And I think alot of poetry involves suicide etc. because it's easier to write about than happiness.
