Now we see Larry with cream silk suit He get ‘em clappin’, makes ‘em pay The cash register keeps on chiming Day on Lordy day “It’s their only entertainment!” He says beneath his breath “What ELSE are these buzzards gonna do before their dyin’ breath?” There is a house in Palm Springs And a mortgage to be paid Thru collections donated by the marks Or the last old lady to be laid Prostitutes for Christ are needed each night and day Old Larry has his haircut Fluttering hearts he must sway And the local business tie-ins? “Very lucrative too!” And the political connections? “Yeah, we stick like glue!” Herd those sheep to market With a merry glint in your eye We’re selling Jesus by the pound And the profits are sky high!
