[bodytext] => Quietly, gingerly, breathlessly

Tiptoe past the hands
The drugged,
stalking seconds finally forgotten
Thumping in fear of waking them up

Stealthily, covertly, silently;
Muffled dins of excavation,
Concealed in fervent keepsakes
Flickering slightly to the gleam of once-bright eyes

Weakly, paradoxically, gently
Cradling found memories gone gold
King Midas' touch tainted by the tendrils of time

Life, leeched out and turned cold
Heavy in hands
Shackled to reality

Forgetting, awaking...

Tick-tock tick-tock tick-tock....

Very different style for you, but I love it.
You always have such depth to your writes.

Very well done
Barkeep!

This reminded me of a special experience I had a few years ago visiting my grandparent's house. I practically grew up there, but hadn't been there in years.
When I opened the door and stepped in my memory rushed back in a flood of sights, sounds, colors, and smells.
Obviously moving stuff.

This reminds me a lot of when I studied dreams. I wanted to say....keep a note pad on your night stand and immediately write down your dream before you forget it but alas, you had forgotten it before you woke. I'm sleepy, saw the titled, picked it to read. It fits right in to where my head is at. Hmmm, I think... cause I'm Shackled to reality and it is real, therefore, I must remember to go to sleep now. But before I go, I must say, you are a genius with metaphors and imagery.

Tim
