for Humanities sins
but I would gladly die
Here and now
for Humanities pain and suffering
I would gladly take
all of Humanities pain and suffering
and carry it as my own burden
Which do you think would help more?

God, just say the word
and I will make that sacrifice
But you won't
So what do you want from me?
What else can I do?
If you won't help us
then I can't help you

Do not tell me
that this suffering in life
is necessary
Do not tell me
that this is just a test
Do not tell me
that there is no other way
Do not tell me
that this isn't all just a waste of time
Do not tell me
that our limited free thought is worth this
Do not tell me
that you can't just skip this part
Do not tell me
that I must endure this hell
to get to heaven
Do not tell me
that if I repeat what they all say
that I will be saved
when all you have to do
is say the word
and we can all be saved
Do not blame us
for the evil in this world
the world in which
we had no choice to live in
in the first place
Do not blame us
for being forced to live this life
which we never agreed to
Do not blame us
for being encumbered with this responsibility
that we never asked for

God, just say the word

Back then
