I love my country.

But I don't like
what I see.

Oil, empire and war
are orders of the day.

I refuse to believe
that it's the only way.

Reality isn't what it appears.
Truth lies hidden in clouds of fears.

A thousand plus
dead for one lie.

And not enough people
who realize.

But look out G-DUH,
ready or not.

We are coming
the new patriots.

Fear doesn't stop us.
We see the lies.

No way to stop us!
We'll soon claim the prize.

The future I see
in Braeden's eyes.

No fear, no war,
a nation that's free.

It's not impossible,
wait and see.

As the other future
is one to abhor.

A nation divided,
two sides, one war.

I am a patriot too
and the other future is one to abhor
is so very true. Except the other future
is upon us, for 4 more years.
So nice to read your thoughts - a bit similar to my own I posted right after yours. Not enough of us have seen the lies yet...not enough have taken action. Keep writing Slim, you rock!

An excellent write. Bush has been lying to the American people for so long now his nose should be blinding him.

The whole world is waiting for some REAL American patriots to convince this wrong-headed man that his political ambitions are NOT worth the hundred thousand dead civilians he was responsible for murdering. This must be the most deceitful president in history. the lies of Clinton and Nixon are as nothing to this most repugnant of pseudo-christians.

Well done on this truthful write about the most dangerous man on our benighted but still beautiful planet.
