My One

Topic: SecretLove

I don't know why I want you
Or even if you care
What am I supposed to do
Should I hide my love or share
I've given you things forgotten
Been there in your times of need
Cooked for you food I've boughten
Helped you whenever I could, you see
Still you pretend I don't exist
Talk to everyone else
When I'm not standing in your midst
I miss you and nothing helps
You talk of girls who've wronged you
Women who have broken your heart
You think that you have been a fool
That its your fault it fell apart
But here I am waiting
Patiently standing aside
Caring for you without stating
What it is I feel inside
You give your heart away again
To an undeserving girl
And I'll be here to hold you when
She leaves without a word
I'm sick of getting no respect
And holding together your heart
If you could only see I represent
A love that would never fall apart
We aren't so different you and I
I've fallen for bad guys too
But something about you caught my eye
There was nothing I could do
So here I sit alone and waiting
For you to recognize my love
I just can't stop contemplating
If you could be my One
