Array ( [sid] => 69460 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Solitary Flower [time] => 2004-10-30 15:05:04 [hometext] => This is dedicated to my best friend, Alyssa Davidson. Check out her poetry at alyssa_koren03. [bodytext] => a field of wild flowers grew
purple, blue, and red through and through
but the thing that caught my eye
was the solitary flower, growing sky high

it outshone the others by a lot
purple, blue, and red it was not
a brilliant shade of yellow was its way
like bright sunshine on a beautiful day

my eye was only for this single flower
filling me with hope and newfound power
i stretched my hands up to the sky
my spirit, my soul soared, and so did i

i was lost when i came here, looking around
but then i saw this one flower, and i was found
i looked again to my flower, golden in the light
filling me with serenity, glowing through the night

and then i knew, knew why i so love
love the flower, my angel from up above
now let me tell you something thats true
it wasnt a solitary flower i saw, it was you [comments] => 6 [counter] => 230 [topic] => 2 [informant] => highly_flammable [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 13 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

wonderful- it is what we all need to have- being seen as what we are - -even if just to one-
