Array ( [sid] => 68965 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Dang! [time] => 2004-10-26 18:38:02 [hometext] => How many of you have experienced the frustration of the tail wagging the dog? - comments appreciated... [bodytext] => Ever feel like your life is running you
Up hill battle, you don't know what to do
Your priorities are being ignored so far
Right now I spend too much time in the car

(Dang, another doctor's appointment)

So what is the first to go until I find some time
Writing poetry of course, the second love of mine
Something must be done to turn things around
I'm getting really annoyed, always giving ground

(Dang, just had to take the dog out )

Duty seems to take charge over all
It is as if I am always on call
Just when I think I will have time
I am reminded of another duty of mine

(Dang, there goes the dryer bell)

Never enough time to get everything done
The push for more time is a constant one
I miss not having more time to write
Perhaps I need to put up more of a fight

(Dang, there goes the phone again)

How many have had this predicament
Sometimes it's like 4th down and I need to punt
Tugged this way and that like a yo-yo on a string
Finally sat down to write something

(Dang, I can't type worth a darn)

Life is full of frustration I guess
Sometimes it causes a lot of stress
So I guess you just keep trying
And with this poem you are implying...

> Smiles ... nods head ... and completely understands !!!

I ride a bus to and from work, I get some me time there. I always carry a note pad for who knows when or where the bolt of inspiration will strike. Though writing on the bus can make the print rough to read ... it effectively makes good use of the time.

Great write Terry ~ Glad the time was found
