Even though I love you,
I could never say it.
I've thought about giving up on us,
But where would I be then,
A daughter without her father.
I've always tried to be the best.
Be the one to make you happy,
Be the one you never gave up on,
Be the one who you can trust,
Be the one you loved with all your heart,
Be the one to make you proud,
Be the daughter of your dreams.
You've hurt me more than you think.
The things you've said I'll never forget.
I feel I have failed you,
I'm not what you want,
And I will never be,
For I am an imperfect daughter,
Your imperfect daughter. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 315 [topic] => 23 [informant] => Alicia_Marie_Hill [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FamilyPoems )

Hey girl don't feel bad. My Dad told me that he didn't want me to be alive. He wasn't there when my Mom was in labor. He didn't take care of my Mom when she was pregnant. And now that I'm struggling with another conflict in my life he's still not there! Your not alone. My daddy don't love me either. I graduated National honor society, 50 points shy of a perfect SAT score, and Valedictorian. Of course I can't spell! But I did it for my Dad maybe so he would love me. He didn't. The only Dad I have that will love me is God!
Take care!
Amy

Oh, sweetie, this is so sad. It sounds as if no matter what you do, it isn't going to make any difference to your father, so you need to talk to your heavenly Father, and have him show you how to start living your own life. I just slipped a little prayer to heaven for you. Love, Dot
