[hometext] => This particular poem is about my first boyfriend as a freshman in high school. For some reason this is an incredibaly easy topic to write about. We are no longer together, but we still care for each other as friends.
[bodytext] => Tonight I looked up in the sky at the stars, though I
told myself I never would. You see for on each star lies a memory with you, all too clear and all too good. When I used to look into your eyes,and you looked into mine, I knew that if I looked up at the sky, I'd see those stars brightly shine. Your smile could light up a room, and make everyone stop and turn, and though you didn't know it, you were making my heart ache and burn. Everynight I thought to myself, "this is too good to be true" and one day it would end, and I'd have to forget about you. That day has arrived like I knew it would, yes, I am sad but I also have a feeling that's good. I am a stronger person because of this, but there are things both funny and sweet that i will and do miss. Thank you for helping me experiance what GOOD comes from love for a while, because tonight i got the courage to look up at the sky and smile.
