What can one truly learn of love ~
Oh, to hear the sighs of angels
Raining down from high above

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How often we have all been there
Sworn off love, said we don’t care
Nestled into dark despair
To live a life of solitaire
Too soon before we are aware
We chance to meet another’s stare
‘Ere we can utter up a prayer
We’re drawn again into love’s lair
As voices whisper “Best Beware”
We tread where once we didn’t dare
Flames of passion begin to flare
Blinding, with such brilliant glare
Love’s light doth burn beyond compare
When once again we seek to share
Then sense the heart begin repair
Pursue another a grand affair
T’would seem that life seeks to ensnare
The heart, to trip and strip it bare
For whilst we walk upon the air
We’re dropped upon our derriere
Tis on the sleeve, the heart we wear
Takes but a moment, off to tear
Still no one knows when to prepare
Not a single beat do we then spare
To never love again, we swear
Our heart is stone, we do declare
And while it may seem quite unfair
The cycle starts again mon frere
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"The ouroboros has several meanings interwoven into it. Foremost is the symbolism of the serpent biting, devouring, eating its own tail. This symbolises the cyclic Nature of the Universe: creation out of destruction, Life out of Death. The ouroboros eats its own tail to sustain its life, in an eternal cycle of renewal."

As it represents an ertenal cycle, ouroboros made a perfect title

Oh suprise me,
another masterpiece...

*sighs*

I have an ouroboros with a
pentacle in it. I gave one to
a friend of mine a few
years ago. I lost contact with her
for over a year until just this week
when I got a letter from her.

My sweet Scott, you write of truth and love so beautifully! We say we are done with love, when, it creeps behind us and consumes us once more... What an endless cycle it is. Ouroboros, what an interesting name... Your titles never prepare us for the beauty that is your words, the beauty that is your soul... Incredible write. I am forever enchanted by this. Marvelous, simply perfect. I enjoyed this piece. Thank you so much for always sharing your thoughts and emotions to us. May this touch the hearts of many. Much love! Forever,

Votre Fleur de bonheur

Yes it does seem like a circle and we repeat it several times before we die unless we chance to meet our soulmate and stop the circle. Nicely written as always, you said it right
