and I remember the way I used to look at you.
Everytime you touched me, I was made for that moment,
and I remember the way your voice used to call me.
In each kiss you gave, nothing existed only you and me,
and I remember the words of love we shared.

My days feel empty, a shell.
I don't know anymore, I can only guess.
My only companions are why and God.

I can remember each time I gave you a rose,
each time that I would wait for you to open the door,
each time I wanted to stay awake talking with you.

And another year goes by,
and I try to forget,
but all I can remember is how much I love you.

Sweetness, you seriously brought tears to my eyes. What a lovely but tragic poem. I absolutely loved it and I hope you find a love like that again... Beautiful write!

That sense of loss is hard to overcome, indeed. I didn't lose the love of my life, but my father, who is any girl's first love. I feel your pain.
