I am a ship lost at sea
Battling the raging storms that be
Taking in water, barely holding on
As the winds further their harm

No land in the distance, no shimmer of hope
Nothing to calm my fears or help me cope
No help of a lighthouse to lead the way
No promise in the skies of a brighter day

Where did the sun decide to hide?
Where is the promise of a changing tide?
Left to my own devices I will surely fail
Lost without hope of heading to hell

Where is my solid ground to stand upon?
Where has the learning from the lessons gone?
How long can I continue to take on the sea?

Battling The Storms

I am a ship lost at sea
Battling the raging storms that be
Taking in water, barely holding on
As the winds further their harm

No land in the distance, no shimmer of hope
Nothing to calm my fears or help me cope

Very deep emotional stuff that was excellently penned. Sorry topic was on a negative note & hope one has been rescued from the storm & see's brighter days ahead. Great job on this one & an enjoyable read.
