were never so unclear
all the pain and all the regret
show up in crimson tears
the blood stained towel in the bottom drawer
the razor tucked away
clarefully hidden until something more
painful comes her way
wounds the no one knows about
are hidden by this girl
for on the outside she's smiling
and hasn't a care in the world
but on the inside she's dying
ready to take away the pain
for she feels there's nothing to lose
she thinks there's nothing to gain
all the days go flying by
one less perfect than the next
each hour, minute, second
ready to put herself to rest
about five minutes of searing pain
like a thousand stabbings of a knive
is better to her than living this way
for the rest of her painful life
the day that she ended it all
the rain came down so hard
this tragedy her family faced
was the worst by far
their beautiful daughter was actually gone
on the day the sun didn't shine
she left a note that said, "don't cry,
i've only taken what was mine."
years later they still think of her
and her room remains untouched
the pictures will always show the face
of the girl they loved so much
i bet they will never know why
she had to go so fast
they try not to think about it
try to put it in the past
but this future girl could be sitting next to you
and you would never know
sometimes it amazes me

This is absolutely one of the best poems I've ever read on this site. It blew my mind away. Fantastic job. Bravo!

A superior write, on a very sad subject matter.
