Array ( [sid] => 67921 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => A Magic Moment [time] => 2004-10-18 12:01:37 [hometext] => CCTV presents a flat screen picture on the kichen wall of the swimming pool conversion in the old barn. Grampa (me)sits nursing a cup of tea. Enter on the screen, our youngest grandaughter (aged nine and three quarters) in her swimming costume. [bodytext] => She glides gracefully into view
Spins on pointed toe
the others trace a perfect circle
round and round they go

Her arms stretched out elegantly
extending imaginary wings
gossamer thin and gleaming
fragile fairylike things

A water nymph bestowing
a curtsey or caress
on squirrels, frogs and butterflies
who expect nothing less

With skill beyond her years
she creats a sylvan glade
lakeside peace, tranquility
out of her dancing made.

Then suddenly becomes aware
that she is not alone.....
A pirouette, a tiny splash.....
my water nyph is gone
