I watched her suffer...

As a meer 13 year old,
I did not completely comprehend,
What happened to my nanna...
She died of cancer, see...?

I was angry...
I was distraught...
How could anyone let her suffer like that...?
'Why her?' I asked...
But I never gor an answer...

Mum was never there for me...
She couldn't talk about it...
That was how she coped..

No one knew what it was like,
To see her body there...
So motionless...
The cancer consumed her soul...
Leaving her body behind...

I couldn't stop crying...
I didn't know what to do...
I tried to keep on living...
But it's never been the same... [comments] => 3 [counter] => 181 [topic] => 43 [informant] => mylastwords [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Cancer has always been a heartless disease, I feel for you, I recently went through the same thing, I watched a friend succume to cancer of the pancreous, she wasted away before my eyes, it was the most heart wrenching thing i have ever had to deal with.
this is an awesoem poem, showing your emotions and feeling really well, your nana will always be with you,
Within your heart and memories, cherish them always.

Take care always

My nana also died of cancer it is a horrible disease.

She will be looking after you from heaven now and wiping away your tears of pain. Also lost my mum to cancer and nursed her till the very end it was heartbreaking.

Grief gets a little easier to cope with in time but they live on in your heart forever one heartbeat away,

Lovely poem

I've been there, too. I lost my grandfather to cancer 25 years ago this month. Just the other day I was crying about it. He and my grandmother were very close to me. My folks were always sort of distant...so my grandparents were very special. Keep writing.
It can make all the difference.
