Of a storm moving in
He’s got to tell her something
But doesn’t know where to begin

He tries to think of how it happened
Just where it all went wrong
Tries to pull himself together
But he knows he’s not that strong

He’s been
Working hard all week long
Trying hard to carry on
Hiding all the pain within his heart
And he’s
Slept alone for six nights now
Made the best of it somehow
But he was bound to fall apart
And now it starts

He steps up before her
And then he starts to pace
His mind begins to wander
To another time, another place

Two children and a woman
Were riding in his car
As a truck flew from a parking lot
Behind a local bar

It didn’t stop
They hit head on
Now his wife and kids are gone
Their memories are tearing him apart
The driver of
The truck died fast
That night’s drinks had been his last
Small conciliation to his broken heart
And now it starts

His head resting on her tombstone
He’s been kneeling there since dawn
In a hoarse and shaking voice
He whispers …
“Mom, they’re all gone”

And now it starts ...

The rebuilding of his broken heart

A sad but beautiful welcoming home, dear Naz. Very touching. Many tears are falling, bounteous sympathies are being sent to you... I apologize for, once again, my sudden absence. We left earlier than we thought we would. But, a heart-wrenching write that shall forever yank at my heart strings. Another perfect weave, mon fonce chasseur. This is something you see everyday on the paper or news channel. Such an excruciatingly true piece; it seemed like I was really there. Bravo, Scott. All in all, I give it a 5/5; true perfection. I thank you for sharing this. Forever yours,

Fleur de Sang

Naz,

Very touching and sad poem. I really could feel this man's tremendous loss.

Beautifully written,

what starts - are tears. Uncontrollable. Something inside sinks. Very, very well written, as I go back to read again.
