"AUTUMN'S TEARS"

Trees do speak, do you hear them?
I listened carefully, this is their poem.
"We trees perform an Autumn Splendor
I'm the speaker 'cause I'm the "Box Elder."

"Did you know? Are you aware?
We trees set a fine example for humans like you!
Solid, steady, unmovable, hit by storm's lightening,
What we endure is truly frightening!"

"Through rain, and heavy snowfall.....
Stand straight, branches heavy laden we can't crawl!
You never hear us complain we endure it all.
'Ne'r stammer, stutter, nature's torturous squall!"

"We trees live longer than you humans do,
A test of our faith is Autumn's breakthrough.
We agonize knowing it will mean our demise......
Falling leaves, dropping tears as our heart sighs

"Out of love we do this for your pleasure.....
Pleasing your eyes, your whole soul's leisure!
With great faith like that of the mustard seed,
We are humbled, stripped naked to face the winter
unafraid, not worried, stable steed.

"Barren branches, empty arms we never waiver,
Encouraging each other, 'tis a cold winter faced together
Yet, Spring rewards our faith with life and good will toward men!
Our faith renewed, when asked, we will rise to the task,
and shed our tears all over again!"

"Ahhhh if humans only had faith like that of a tree,
leaving everything behind before we sleep.
Knowing we'll be awakened again.....
living forever in a Beauteous Spring!"

Ahh, but they accept their changes. They know their Lord and Master so much better than we and wouldn't hesitate to obey...spring, summer, winter, and fall.
