I caught a sight that made me cry
Dirty bombs in grubby hands
Fireworks in freedoms land

I looked across a sea of cause
Looked through the glass of human flaws
Between ideals new and old
I saw a sea of hearts grown cold

I glimpsed a pulpet drowned in blood
Wrapped in a flag, it's grave was dug
As millions stood by in salute
The piper piped his evil flute

They stand, debate, for freedoms stride
From stars and stripes they crawl and hide
Invite your friends to mankind's brunch
Mushroom feasts and A-bomb punch

Scrub yourselves clean all that you please
It's all in vain when you're diseased
War is all you've ever sown
So death is all you'll ever grow [comments] => 7 [counter] => 216 [topic] => 8 [informant] => jason_robert_britt [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AmericanTragedy )

as always, it's good to see something new from you. and, as always, it's ***** incredible. a topic that many try to tackle, yet few can make anything good from it, and you once again show us all how it's done. before i yatter on forever, i'll stop now before i build yet another shrine to your talents. stop taking such lengthy breaks you bastard. keep them coming.
