[time] => 2004-10-13 21:01:35 [hometext] => I was bored in class so I wrote something about walking downa raod across from someone but never moving. I turned it into a poem. [bodytext] => The black road stretch’s out before you
Winding through the dying earth.
You walk down the road slowly,
The sun beating down on your back.

One foot in front of the other
Over and over again.
Keep on moving,
Do not stop waking.

You have a backpack banging on your back
And your shoes are wearing out.
But just keep on moving,
Anywhere is better then nowhere
And you are in nowhere now.

You have been walking for so long now
And you swear you saw that bush before.
Or maybe that rock twice.
But you just keep on moving.

Because,
Anywhere is better then nowhere
And you are in nowhere now.

But look across the road
What do you see there?
Another person just like you
Walking slowly down the road.

They are walking the other direction
And seems not to see you.
You look back at you feet
And keep on walking.

Because,
Anywhere is better then nowhere
And you are in nowhere now.

The sun goes down
But you keep moving.
Through the whole night
You keep walking.

The sun begins to wake up
And the world is turned pink.
You look up from your dying shoes
And turn to look across from you.

The other one is still walking
Seeming like he has never moved.
After walking through the whole damn night
Neither one of you has gotten anywhere.

Walk across the road
And grab the lone walker’s hand.
When you take his hand
You can both start walking
And this time you can get somewhere.

Because,
Anywhere is better then nowhere
And you are in nowhere now.
And you cannot get anywhere alone.
