With the machines to help you breathe
It makes me really worry
That you may not always be with me
But I’m afraid that you won’t hear
What I feel that I must say
I’m so sorry for all the wrongs I’ve done
But I can’t make them go away
I’m sorry for all the horrible things
I wish I never did
But you have to understand
That I was just a stupid kid
I never meant to say such things
I really regret those words
I wish that I could take them back
And make them go unheard
I never thought to just stop
Or maybe take a second look
I never meant to take
All those things I took
I never wanted to disgrace
I never meant to let you down
But so young, I was so lost
Needing only to be found
There are so many different things
You should have shown me how to be
Like how to be your son…
Not to just turn your back on me
And I’m haunted every morning
Still till this very day
On how I let you down
And how you threw me away
I’ve grown so much without you
But I’m not happy how things turned out
I wish I had only listened
Instead of trying to yell and shout
I wish I had another chance
A way to set things straight
Because this time I’d try so hard
To make you think your son is great
But what hurts me the most all
Is to feel so all-alone
And even though I sometimes see you
I see no way I can atone
I’m so sorry Dad, I really am
For not always making you proud
But It’s hard to grow up in your image
When I never was aloud
I’m not asking you to forgive me
I know that you won’t ever forget
I just wish that when you think of me…

Seems that you relise, what and how all went wrong......yes, set the peace now, so this way you will not regret, and kick yourself later. We all make mistakes and can not turn back time..but can go forward, and make it known.....~

Gosh, holder. I've been back to this a few times and I'm just finding it very hard to comment. This is so obviously written with much emotion. And... as I've told you... I think it is the most beautiful gift. I do hope that the process of writing this and sharing it has been rewarding.... but... no matter what - don't ever regret writing it. It needed to be written.... if for no one else but you. And you did well, holder -- you really, really did.

Knowing what this means to you...
SNM
