So many tears
fall to this day,
three long years
people still in disarray.

*~~~*
So many lives lost
in this tragedy,
it was a deadly cost
tears still lick my cheeks.

*~~~*
Hearts are still sad
souls still cry,
evil-doers still bad
the tears can't be dried.

*~~~*
Loved ones being missed
after three long years,
lips never to be kissed
no whispers in ears.

*~~~*
We will remember them
all day and night,
their hearts were gems
never had a need to fight.

*~~~*
Three lonely years
since they've left this harsh place,
so many tears
fall down God's loving face.

*~~~*
In our hearts they
will be kept,
nobody will forget the day
the Heavenly Angels wept.

*~~~*

very nice. its surprising though that it takes a massacre for people to care about the evil in todays world though.

O Cynthia,
This was truly magnificent and it gave me a lump in my throat! It's really good to see a totally different kind of poem from you than what I'm used to! Keep writing!
Hugs,
Hur

Great write. So emotional. You expressed the emotion so well. Loved it. It was such a heartfelt tibrute to those lost and those left behind. Great work. ^_^
