Array ( [sid] => 66819 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Are You Afraid Of Death? [time] => 2004-10-10 09:09:30 [hometext] => my nan is the reason behind this poem, as me and my family fear that she doesn't have long left .... [bodytext] => Are you afraid of death?
Inhaling your very last breath,
My answer is yes I am afraid,
When facing death I’m not at all brave.

I often think of when I’ll say goodbye,
Watch my loved ones weep as I die,
I wonder how I will leave this land,
Will anyone be there to hold my hand?

My biggest fear is to die all alone,
With no-one left to call my own,
To slip away softly with no-one there,
My last moments that I can’t even share.

I hope that when I go I feel peace,
Not a hint of pain as I become deceased,
In my sleep is how I would like,
The reaper to take me in the still of the night.

They say death is another part of living,
To another world we are now giving,
Our soul as it shifts to another dimension,
Releasing our bodies of all that tension.

But all that doesn’t ease my mind,
It is something that I don’t want to find,
But I know one day I’ll receive that call,
As death is something that comes to us all.

Aww, Pixie! I'm so sorry. Hang in there. Your nan will be watching over you, I'm sure. Everytime you see the sun shining in the sky that's her smiling at you...don't be afraid to let go. You'll see her again one day and she'll be with you in spirit always. Take care!
Katie
