Peace Painted on your face.
Shadows dance down your body,
With my eyes upon you I trace.

Every curve of your being,
Each crevice more beautiful than the last.
Your smile flashes in my mind,
I sense myself falling fast.

I wish I could tell you how I feel,
The words just don’t seem to form.
I whisper as you lay there sleeping,
Suddenly I feel so warm.

They say that love takes time,
If nurtured the feelings grow.
But here I feel so overpowered,
The reason in my heart I know.

I just want to stare at you all night,
With each breath I’ll watch your chest.
Silently declaring how I feel,
Until the words form to reveal the rest.
