earth equilibrium
wildflowers sway, peering above warm grass like a proud mother
as though puppets of the earth
clouds tumble and tear silently, as white as angels
as though puppets of the earth
waters sneak, glide and burst and cry endlessly
as though puppets of the earth
forests grow dank, moist and brown and green with understanding
as though puppets of the earth
and who is to say
that in the end
we are so very different
