And the empty sonnets of a poetical drama queen
Fill my brain, comparing all the nouns
Not one is left out, not two, not me

Some might think to swallow the world
Some might try, to say that we will be saved
When the years before are reborn into ours
Platform shoes filled with initials engraved

So goes the music, of sex and drug days
So sings the man, with the pretty face and lipstick smile
Men questioned by society, bi-sexual, poofers, gays
Tears from the eyes, smeared in blanketing makeup

They burn themselves out, they lose it, them, and us
We forget, and nothing matters, as they fade into the crowd
Cancelled out by the faux music and sad ballad “rock”
Their words were to old, and messages to loud

The cost of the life, the cost of the love
Is spent in a few hours, then you are in debt
Matter how much you want it, no matter how hard you shove
The cost to take over the world, is far to high

You can tell her I love this. Really captured the spirit of the era and the movie, which I love by the way.
