Array ( [sid] => 6648 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => A Bleeding Tear [time] => 2002-11-14 03:00:00 [hometext] => On March 1st 2001, I lost a wonderful part of my life, His name was Ed Collins (Dad to me)
he was a great spiritual adviser and a very loved man to many, and then on March 2nd 2001, we lost another wonderful part of our life, our tender child Ailie, she was only sixteen, For the two of them will never be forgotten, [bodytext] => How in fact, can I move on, when all I see are rains,
where in life, do I go, when inside I see the pains,
a sundrop left the place I live, a tear of blood I shed,
I wanted more in life for you, and now you wind up dead,
Heavens tear, upon my soul, the shades of love I see,
beneath the layers of my skin, a tear of blood I bleed,
Not long ago, my world shined, those little things in life,
the tears of blood I bleed today, my baby, it isn't right,
when you were young I'd hold you close, and teach you what I knew,
now I have these tears of blood, bleeding out to you,
I listen to the season sounds, and echoes of the past,
if, oh if, the colors were, a dream that would now last,
Heavens tear, placed inside .... my heart, Oh how it bleeds,
babe today, I thought of you, a love of certainty,
Still ..... I stand, beneath the sun, a tune I often feel,
how in fact, two lives are gone, is this now for real,
Today I stand alone, my sundrops now are gone,
heaven tear upon my soul, bleeding like a song,
Carry me back, to hear your voice, and see your smiling face,
too many days a tear I cry, I question time and place,
colored time in the sun, if only days would stay,
blessed with life I must move on, though my life is shaded gray,
if only, oh if only, your days were twice to be, here in time I question not, the tears of blood I bleed,
I stand alone, as season's pass, and tears soil my skin,
here I stand alone and empty, a bleeding tear I've been,
Two many times I often think, of where in time you'd be,
then as my heart starts question, another tear I see,
How in fact can I move on, when all I see are rains,
where in life do I go, when inside I bleed with pain!

A Bleeding Tear

Some people in life are just dealt too much pain to contend with - it seems so unfair. After reading a lot of your poems I realised last night that you not only lost your daughter, your father, you have an autistic son, your cousin was murdered, and you worked in a drug rehab centre where you saw a lot of pain. I believe you must be a very special person to be dealt so much. It makes one realise how small our own problems really are.

Wonderful poem.

ohhh valerie, this has brought me to my deepest tears right along with you my friend, my face is wet, many of mine are gone too, i try to think that they are roses that bloom on the other side... 'a candle that shines twice as bright; shines half as long', for truely our lost loves were.... there is nothing we can do but keep them alive in our hearts until we are on rainbows too, much much love and a big hugg, ever nessa x

i think how its unique how ive used this metaphor idea as you did and i come and pick a poem out of the blue and see this... The thought of bleedin a tear stresses the hurt and pain in cryint for something so dear... i see eye to eye with what you wrote and think its great... im an aspiring singer song writer and ideas like these are what help get through the norm of bein original not many writers i know use that expression 'tears of blood' but i think it pushes the idea through great work

I lost a baby when he was eight days old..I woke up from medication given me for an on-going seizure and my husband was standing over our bed holding our dead infant son...his weeping is what had awakend me. For years I drew eyes with hearts instead of pupils, and tears coming from inside the hearts. The pain of losing a child cannot be understood by anyone who doesn't experience it. Your poem touched my heart, and grabbed at my soul. Thank you for sharing your pain. I know it is difficult. My loss was 34 years ago but the mourning never ends....
