Bristling against my cheek in the night
Fearful I would wake without you
Left to dance alone in the narrow streets
Pretending to smile at the bright lights

Feeling the image of you next to me
Understanding everything said and unsaid
Eyes watch my every movement, silently caressing
My hands falter at the first touch
Wanting to stay in that moment forever

Giving the image of me the way I am
See me in all my frightening glory
Spinning half out of control
The dance comes to an end and we must speak
Tasting each word like cotton candy melting in our mouths

Living the image that once was a dream
Breaking in a tidal wave over our heads
We hold our breaths and pray we survive
Something we never thought we would find
Has come to us begging to be lived

That......is poetry at its finest. I watched in my mind as this took place ..I felt what you felt ..tasted the cotton candy words ( loved that line). You are the best at this Gaille.

Woah! You just get better and better. Always watching for your writes. Hoping to get yours and Larry's books soon. The images in this are so powerful and real. VERY NICE STUFF.
