Deep in the clouds and mists
Of what’s right and wrong
Blood shed shards over confusion
And Charisma’s what makes us strong

Over the centuries of differ
The bodies pile high
Opinions drift over decades
And stabs individuals or makes them cry

And you may say what you know is right or wrong
And pass that on to your future kids
They may listen to your media
Or peak at the eyes behind the lids

Trapped within your corrupt senses
See, smell, hear, touch and taste
Unaware of the reality of form
Not even knowing your perfect face

Plato’s manacles binding you
Simply inches from the sun-light
Will you be happy to sit there and die there
Or will you put up a fight

Will you let your old dead knockers tell you what you should do
Will you believe what they say is right and follow what they did
There is no moral yes and no
So open up your eyes behind the lids.

I really liked this poem, its powerful and makes you consider your actions. The title and recurring images of blindness are strong and effective. Good work!
