Array ( [sid] => 66176 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Dark Woods [time] => 2004-10-05 07:01:40 [hometext] => This is pretty strange this poem, but I wrote after I woke up from a nightmare that scared the hell out of me, and this is it [bodytext] => I wake up in a forest
Night is as dark as Satans soul
I turn my head to see old trees
Not moving
Silent
I start walking
Into mist and dark

I hear whistling wind
And haunting moans
I turn my head again
Just the forest
Just my breathing
Just my footsteps

I walk up the path
Until I arrive in a town

"......."

Silence

"......."

No-one is here
Its a ghost town

Just the forest
Just my breathing
Just my footsteps

Starry night it is
Little stars light the sky
But they haunt my mind
Along with this place

That I can never find

"......."

Just the forest
Just my breathing
Just my footsteps

This is so atmospheric. It seems to be an indulgence in an immortal escapism. Although I feel haunted by it, I wish you could have shared that nightmare with I.

Freaky poem, and weird dream, something I will pass on my dreams leave alot ot be desired at the best of times. But this was awesome the way it flowed, and the images created, left no doubt as to what the poem is about.

You could really feel it like almost i was there. The suspense was good and how you set out the poem is very original. Good work
