Behind the waterfall, we are
Wanting for what seems so far

Timid we are, voices hushed
We listen to the water rush
In its pitter patter flawlessness
Tumbling gently down upon us

Huddled together, holding tight
As sunset fades to star filled night
We linger there, at twilight
Anticipating the moon’s light

When the moon arrives, she sees
Two silhouettes joined so tenderly
Lost in each other so obviously
And the vision sets her free

She calls to us and we respond
Breaking the plane, we step beyond
Hand and hand we venture on
Heart to heart, we now belong

She flees across the nighttime sky
Filled with envy, we wonder why
We too cannot learn to fly
We long to know night’s other side

Silently, on the tips of our toes
We follow then as the moon goes
Down below, awash in her glow
We move ahead so we may know

Beyond the waterfall, her light
Leads us on into the night

I like this much. I've always loved the motif of wandering through darkness after light. Overall, a beautiful poem.

Bravo!

This is enchanting. I feel I have been touched by purity. The words present images that are so spellbinding. Reading this was like tracing my fingers across a watercolour painting, allowing my eyes and hands to appreciate such delicate beauty.

My head is full of comments,
I see so many things in this..

Awwww... It's your 'fault' that you make me feel so weak, blue and in love with this poem!! Hey, you're really so romantic! Your wordings are just so effective. I like it!! GOOD POEM!

What words can one say about something as beautiful as this. It evokes an emotional response that is hard to express. My best is to say..I felt this one.......

Gorgeous.
Long stemmed roses again
Larry (who promises to catch up with your writes eventually) :o)
