[bodytext] => Livin' on the edge... on the edge of life Is a dangerous place to be Dangerous curves lie up ahead of me And the warnin' signs I pay no heed This may cost me my life indeed Stealin' hearts is what I do best Babe, you've passed the love test I've got my eye on you I'm racin' in your direction Help me find the key to unlock this love's connection Fast cars... fast life is what I like And in fast dreams... danger looms right outside for me But I'm rockin' through the night Just tryin' to outrun all the phantoms of my life Like a wild spirit runnin' free Livin' on the edge... on the edge of life is for me What a life's travesty? There's no restrainin' me There's no refrainin' me from livin' on the edge 'Cause it seems to be the only thing That keeps me feelin' alive and runnin' free Like a drifter movin' from town to town I'm driftin' in and out of other's lives Like a shadow at midnight Livin' on the edge... on the edge of life I'm a loner... livin' out on the edge Livin' free and independently I'm a wild spirit who needs no one I'm just livin' on the edge of the freedom of my heart and soul Livin' on the edge of outta control Where it will take me...? I don't know To Hell... I guess... if I don't change my ways Only Heaven knows for sure Just countin' the days... through my life's smoke and haze One day maybe I'll wake up from this wild, hard ride That's gettin' me nowhere... nowhere in time Self- destruction is on the horizon of my mind 'Cause I'm livin' on the edge... on the edge of life Out in the middle of nowhere... in a danger zone Where no man should ever wander or go 'Cause once- in- awhile this life gets you so messed up... so crazy You find yourself hangin' on a ledge... ready to make that final leap Livin' on the edge... on the edge of life Why do we do this to ourselves? Why do we hurt our heart and souls? And those who love us so? It's like a death wish we have... Flirtin' with danger with each and every step Only Heaven knows...
