" Survived "

While driving my car stopped at an intersection with a red light
I was thinking about my sweet heart on this fine Friday night
I looked over to my left and then to my right
Now I will describe to you a terrible sight
There was this guy with a gun who broke my glass
He climbed inside and said, let’s go or I’ll kill your ass
The light turned green, off we went down the street
My heart was pounding, my hands were sweaty, feeling some heat
The awful smell of this guy was making me sick
I was trying to think of a way to get out of this quick
I suddenly felt a nudge in my ribs with his gun
I really thought my time in life was really done
I saw a chance up the road, an oncoming train
I could jump and survive and live with some pain
I hit the ground, looked around and I was free
I never thought this crime filled life would reach out to me
I live my life an honest way and cherish our God
He was there to help me by protecting my bod
Its really sad to think that many people just don’t care
I only survived through God’s great love, this I will forever share!!!!!
