Array ( [sid] => 6594 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Things Un Seen [time] => 2002-11-13 00:00:00 [hometext] => Here's a poem/ song that i wrote a few days ago, when i saw a homeless man walking along the street. [bodytext] => Things Un-seen

You see that man there
You think to yourself 'He aint goin' no where'
Sure, his body may be homeless
But his mind's got a home.

You see that little girl there
You think to yourself ' She aint goin' no where'
Sure, her parents aren't the best
But in her mind, she got that pretty little dress

Theirs a lot of things that go un-seen
And theirs a lot of things that we think we see
But only the truth lies underneath

You see that guy come out of the bar cryin'
And you think to your self 'Yeah, I've been there
It felt like I was dyein'
And yeah that pain was just to much to bare'
But you had your memories to run to
You had a place to go
When the rest of us were wondering what this worlds comin' to

And because of those memories, you're here
Not there

Theirs a lot of things that go un-seen
And theirs a lot of things that we think we see
But only the truth lies underneath

Well theirs some people
Who just don't know how to live
Who are dead inside, and just barely breathing
And you thought those people only existed while you were sleeping

Theirs a lot of things that go un-seen
But only the truth lies underneath

Hi Fan

I really enjoyed reading your poem/ lyric. Wouldn't it be a great world if everyone looked beyond the surface?

Keep on writing

I agree with Nessiecat,
the world would be a much
better place if people could
look beyond the surface, This
was a beautiful write, I've seen
and been around homeless
people before, even talked
to alot of them and it's sad
because they really are nice
and people alot of times just
look at them like they are some
monster or somthing.
Thanks for sharing this one
I enjoyed it
