But the fear haunts the thought in case I'm wrong.

Our music is out of tune and our songs are old.
Inside each tear two million memories unfold.
Only we can see the secrets that we shared
I see your face each time you tried to hide that you were scared
Looking in the mirror, brushing my hair, sometimes I see your reflection
Escaping from my memory to remind me of the times you showed affection
Sometimes my nose captures the faded scent of your cologne
In that moment I remember lying close to you while we were alone.
When I think back of how it felt to kiss your lips and feel your every touch
I remember how the butterflies tickled my stomach; and continue missing you so much

But our music is out of tune and our songs are old
If I could reset our lives, I would, truth be told
I was everything I wanted to be when you held me close
No problems bothered me, You mattered most.

My hopes held high, they are still just as strong
But I must remove the thoughts in the sad unending songs
So excuse the tears that fall sometimes
It’s just a part of the freedom I’m trying to find.
And excuse the words I write of you
Even though they are very true
I know my hopes and dreams are too high
And that they are nothing but a lie
Contradicting what reality has in store
I promise One day my heart and I will settle the score.
