Array ( [sid] => 6576 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Angst (Ashen Dreams) [time] => 2002-11-12 15:00:00 [hometext] => This song goes hand in hand with the first song I submitted here called "Gave All My Nothing". There is something to remember, that the want to be complete and fulfilled is real, but to fill that void with dreams of what is temporary will only result in a rude awakening. [bodytext] => we dream, hoping for those dreams to come true
every night we fabricate something new
yet we dream alone, making reality die
what we dream, is making the worst of our lives
biting our lips, clenching our blankets we know
needless to say, we must wake up tomorrow
hoping for, our perfect dreams to be real
every night bares the weight, of the dreams we steal

do dreams keep us alive by the moment?
we thought we lived by the moment...
but now we die by the moment
and when all dreams become ash,
there will only remain our make-believe past

illusion, it's the pill, the drug that kills
no matter what you do, is the goal half fulfilled?
what if we were one day all cured of this addiction
a life with a reason is one of nonfiction
trust when you hear the rule:
there is no half empty, there is no half full
when it comes down to living life,
it's either fulfilled, or unsatisfied

-what's the point of being, without being complete
is there reason to run, if the race can't be won
what's the point of climbing, if there's no top to reach
Is there point in chasing a half valid cause?!

do dreams keep us alive by the moment?
we thought we lived by the moment...
but now we die by the moment
and when all dreams become ash,
there will only remain our make-believe past

You can't dream your way out of this half complete self
waiting for something new
These fantasies hurt, and this anxiety kills
so useless without the truth

Living in tomorrow makes us dead today

Stop the dream dead, 'cause we dream alone again [comments] => 6 [counter] => 312 [topic] => 36 [informant] => Written2bRead [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )

This song goes hand in
hand with the first song I submitted
here called "Gave All My Nothing".
If this is a song i want the CD when
it comes out, it's absolutely
filled with such depth and has a
strong message behind it, it's
beautiful and so sad ..Thanks
for sharing this one

thanx for the comment. I'd appreciate it if you read "Gave All My Nothing" and then gave another read to Angst; this gives a bigger perspective to what I'm saying. And if you want the "CD" of the songs I wrote... I don't really have a way of getting it to you, but I can show you some other stuff that I've written that has become songs. Gave all my Nothing is also a song, which is neat if you notice the comment under it on this site. I didn't mention anything about it being a song and the comment says that it just looks like one 'cuz of its flow. Message me back if you want to see some poems (I have quite a few more not posted on this site).
