as he places his arm around my shoulders.
We are in front of a bright blazing fire admiring beauty
I am letting him into my heart
he is caressing my inner most soul.
I am willingly opening up to this new revelation
he does not realize that this incredible sensational emotion
that I am feeling is the first for me.
He leans his head next to mine
and moves in closer as our bodies join to one
I start to tremble; my body is reacting to a newfound expression of love.

I push back a little; fear starts to overwhelm me.
I start to ripple at the seams.
The threads detach from my skin
everything seems to be falling apart.
I can sense the domino effect as they drop
one by one all around my protected dome.
This protective shell I had cocoon to keep me secure and safe.
Has now been uncovered to memoirs of the past.
It has remembered this sensation it once felt before
many years ago in a small size body,
when my self did not know how to respond to this type of touch.
It was suppose to be an expression of love
but looking back and remembering; all I felt was
the pain and the confusion of an unknown touch.
Two worlds apart that seems to be forever intertwining.
I weep for that lost innocence.

Oh, so been there! And you captured the emotion exactly! Now, if I could only stamp out the memories.

"This protective shell I had cocoon to keep me secure and safe."

Do want to point out, though, that this line was a little fuzzy for me. Maybe a different word for cocoon, or maybe,

"This cocoom I have created, to keep me secure and safe."

Just a suggestion.
