[bodytext] => And the clock strikes five with the tides of persuasion This earth at its end, leaving us to pick at the bones of our brethren Who’s to say who will be here when it comes to the last few hours? An art form that few know and fewer were taught is the salvation of us all It is the time of the damned, and we rule with utter lethargy A careless hand presides over the realm of the lost, and more are won each day Reality seems to have lost touch with itself, and we bask in the afterglow of its fall A bloodied veil shrouds the head of the newest bride giving her a chance at false redemption Count the toll of the bell, it will tell when we have finally lost ourselves to our sins He who looks on at the sound of our cries turns his back to those who have prayed We have loathed by default and loved by choice, and it is us that will be punished when he no longer finds us amusing. So live like you’re alive and not the corpse of a person long since forgotten A ripple effect in a pond of blood caused not by a stone but a scream He is displeased, and so we must hide from ourselves until it has passed A betrayal of the faithless faithful ones will begin our demise But why wait for them to make the first move when we can damn ourselves in their stead? A child laughs in the face of Lucifer and is rewarded by him for a show of grace The kingdom of heaven has fallen, and the throne of suffering begins a reign of horror so gracious that all soon forget what they were fighting against Ask not why we were chosen; ask why we were abandoned and why we have been punished in the place of those who truly deserve it But do not worry we will all be together when it ends What kind of master lets his slaves go free once they have served their purpose?
