Lies a locket.
A novelty heart claiming the lives
Of two lovers.
Smitten by their passions that blind
The senses until no one else exists.
Smear the lipstick and skew the collar.
The love fades to lust and
Selfish tendencies.
A wooden bat and a cleaver
Become the substitutes for a
Whisper.
A kind word.
There they are together again.
Not because they want to but
Bloodloss leads to unconciousness.
Two more hearts cease to beat
From the weight of tragedy.
Two more hearts are broken. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 150 [topic] => 60 [informant] => xafflictedx [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => insomniac )

Dane is right,

more people should read you.
This is pretty unique, not
just a sentimental write,
there's alot to think about,
and your ideas and images
are very effective.

The imagary is fantastic and provokes very strong emotions.

Dude, this was a truly great poem...everyone else said what I wanted, but I don't even know if I could come up with something that would do this poem justice. I'm kinda speechless at the moment...I seriously loved this poem
