Living off temporary highs
The more that I think that there's something missing
I'm left deep inside

Moving in no direction

What's this empty feeling I have?
Left as the shell of what I used to be
Biding my time
As the clock ticks by
What has happened to me?
My insecurities are taking a toll
But no one will ever know

What's this thing that I'm missing?
I've been waiting on nothing
Living off temporary highs
The more that I think that there's something missing
I'm left deep inside
With my feelings I hide

I wonder if we all go through life thinking we're missing something..and we worry and fret so much that we miss the very thing we're looking to find???? cool write
