because on the outside i seem happy but on the inside i'm sad.
and if you look closely you can see through my disguise,
as the pain is clearly written if you look into my eyes.

Its not the pain of partings thats caused me so much strife,
but everything thats happened in twenty nine years of life.
Its the rejection of my parents, a childhood lived in hell,
Its never knowing when to give in, and hating myself if i fail.

Its the enemies i've made, the two facades of a friend,
it the mental abuse that continues and never seeing an end.
Its the not being able to live because illness disrupts my world,
its the no family being there to talk to and hold.

It the trying to please, but alas i'm still rejected,

I know you all look at me and you think i'm going mad,
because on the outside i seem happy but on the inside i'm sad.
and if you look closely you can see through my disguise,
as the pain is clearly written if you look into my eyes.
