[time] => 2004-09-26 00:30:45 [hometext] => I was thinking about a friend I had a long time ago and how much I miss her. I thought about her mum and how she hated me and I was like, [bodytext] => The chilled air clings to me.
I'm only in a thin blue dress.
The past runs through my mind as I stare at the old fence.
The wood is cut in some places, I did that.
New wood was added to cover up the holes we made long ago.
Do you remember that?

You and me, we used to have so much fun.
Remember the time we saw the werewolf on your side of the fence?
Remember how we used to play through the wood,
Because you mom hated me so much,
I couldn't go to your house.

I wonder if you think about the time you lived there,
Across the fence from me.
Remember how we tap danced on your table
When your mom still loved me.

She hated my big brother, so she hated me.
I couldn't go to your house,
However, we wouldn't let that get us down.
We made up games to play.
You on your side
And me on mine.

We never talked at school,
You were in a different class.
You had different friends.
You were one of my greatest friends,
But I never talk about you now.

One day you just weren't there.
I called and called but you never came.
I phoned you and your mom just laughed.
You moved away in the night.
She didn't want me to know.

So I stand here now in the cold of the night
And look at your house,
Now filled with people I cannot stand.
I have to wonder what is wrong with me.
Am I so awful that I can't even have a friend?

A cool yet very sad poem...it is hard when friends suddenly move away or just go without even a goodbye...most times it is beacause they had no choice. Hope you find your friend again someday.
Cheers for sharing and take care.
