Her stormy silver eyes scan the ballroom like a cautious bird
The woman wears a dress of perfect white silk
She elegantly steps onto the white floor
All eyes quickly shift to the angelic beauty

A fetching man emerges from the awestricken crowd
He nobly walks up to the woman and takes her delicate, white gloved hand
A sweet smile fills her fair, gleaming face
He exchanges a childish smile with her
They both gracefully step onto the hauntingly deserted floor

They waltz along the floor, which seems to disappear before them
Deep in the black shadows stands a slender man
A look of sheer evil cursed his sinister face
The woman with her striking eyes catches sight of him
His wicked emerald eyes fell upon the charming woman
A shrieking gasp filled the large ballroom

A piercing arrow found the woman’s kind heart
A cataclysm of silken, ruby blood surrounds her lithe body
Menacing, horrible laughter can be heard, filling the deserted air [comments] => 3 [counter] => 174 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Crimson_Rose [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

I like this poem a lot. Very vivid images, the white and silver and blood red - beautiful. Tiffany J. (Red_October)
