So I can’t see the hurt
Cant feel their pain
Could I still see you Lord?

Praying to be deaf
So I can’t hear their hurt
Can’t feel their pain
Could I still hear you Lord?

Praying to be mute
So I can’t hurt them Lord
Can’t cause them pain
Could you still hear me Lord?

Praying to be dead
So I can’t cause hurt
Can’t feel pain
Could I be with you Lord?

See them, You whisper, and see me
Hear them, You utter, and hear me
Speak to them, You say, and speak to me
Live in Me, You cry out, and I in you

Praying to see
So I can give you to the hurt
Can share their pain
Can see you Lord

Praying to hear
So I can hear their hurts
Can share their pain
Can hear you Lord

Praying for a voice
So I can speak Your words of healing
Can share Your Truth
Can speak with you Lord

Praying for life
So I can see you Lord
Can hear you Lord
Can be with you Lord

See them, You whispered, and see me
Hear them, You uttered, and hear me
Speak to them, You said, and speak to me
Live in Me, You cried out, and I in you

I see their hurt,
I hear their pain,
You speak to their hearts
You live in mine.

I like this poem. If it becomes a song someday, I would like to hear it.

This is a great poem and I can truly say I know how you feel.
