my mouth started to water
I wanted you in that instant
but I know I shouldn't I was with my daughter

I tried to ignore you
but you were always on my mind
my child knew
that it was you I was sure to find

The reasons for me to walk straight past
I had other ones I could buy
but you were always
in the corner of my eye

I was nearly out the shop
when I could not hold myself back
I went back to that shelf
and grabbed you off the rack

Happy now I got what I wanted
and placed you at the check out
my daughter frowned at me
" your alergic "she would shout!

If this has happened to you
how did you ever over come this
do you ignore CHOCOLATE totally
or go home and eat in bliss?

Chocolate is my major obsession in life. I have cannisters I keep full of it. I eat it daily. I believe it is one of the 5major food groups, as follows:

chocolate
coffee
colas
cookies
cakes

This is a poem that depicts my savage need for chocolate. I ravage it!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Cant say it has lol, but then chocolate usually has a harsh affect on me, first hypo, then sick. Heh keeps me from buying though.
Awesome the way you captured the essence of the subject, and had me hanging till the endding where the question was revealed.
Well written poem.
Take Care Always
