the soul of a woman encased in the bark
with limbs that move in a majestic arc
alone she faced the storms of life
others gave up, but no, not she

she's had her share of troubles and woes

like her i too know grief and pain
i've faced the wind
i've felt the rain

i still stand tall

i will not fall
it may throw punches
i will take a blow

i too, shall grow
each storm i weather increases my strength
and beneath this skin
my soul to thank
the elm and i

This was...would have to the best poem I have read, I loved the way it flowed, and the images were........felt so vividly real like I could see the elm swaying in the wind.....tall strong and proud......full of life.
Defienitly one of my favourites.
Awesome poem loved it.
