And all of yours
I can’t pick this up
Its color is so misleading
For it is to stained with all of our lies
I will paint it new
Make it clear so we will redo this world of ours
With just us as candidates
No one will insert their kindness in our barrel of life
Or even help us out with a cure
But we don’t mind
We know that there will never be cure
But it's nice to think that we can help
To think that someone might learn something
In rare cases they do…
Most of the time they just go on with their lives
Not knowing what we ever said
To be like the rest of the world
To see it all the same..
that’s how they seem to be
Over and over again
So many people being like one another
Few of us exist
Is this world
That just repeats
So there sits my barrel
Covered in stains again
I must repaint is once more
For its color is so misleading… [comments] => 4 [counter] => 398 [topic] => 43 [informant] => pyrofungus [notes] => (Edited by Mod_11 for spelling) [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

interesting. putting a facade on it does nothing, it doesnt change the inside. misleading, means assumptions are involved, and those are mistakes to begin with.

Neato title!

Good free verse although some of the philosophy was a little muddle-puddled.

Well done!

I loved this- definitely not a crappy write. Reminds me of being at the bottom of the barrel
